Can microsuction be painful?

The microsuction procedure can be quite loud but is usually a pain free process. Most people don't find the process too uncomfortable at all. Our team will ensure you are as comfortable as possible, and our clinicians will be guided by you and your comfort every step of the way.

Can I have microsuction?

Providing your over the age of 18, our clinicians are more than happy to see you. We will go through a short questionnaire to check if there are any factors that may mean we need to alter the treatment (such as previous ear surgeries or current medications).

How long does it usually take?

From the moment our clinician arrives at your door to the treatment being finished usually takes around 30-40 minutes, but each of our appointment slots are 1 hour to allow for further assessment, and a chat!

Will I need further treatments?

Everybody is different when it comes to our ears. Some people find 1 treatment is all that's needed to encourage our ears to remove excess wax naturally. Others sometimes seek treatment every 3-6 months.

What if no wax is found in my ear?

If, after initial otoscopy no wax is found, then our clinician will discuss with you likely causes for your symptoms and provide further information or referral if required. In these instances a part-refund will be offered so only a consultation fee is payable.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

We understand that circumstances change, but we kindly ask that you provide as much notice as possible to cancel or reschedule your booking. We reserve the right to the following fee's for last minute cancellations or changes:

  • More than 48 hours notice - Full refund will be offered
